The aim of the NYU Waverly Labs is to provide Faculty and Graduate Students with space and infrastructure to experiment with sound and computers.

This experimentation may take the form of research and creative work or defined musical works; or it may be directed toward developing tools and software of different kinds. We welcome students from all tracks in the Music Department, strongly encourage and support interdisciplinary work, and celebrate the transgression of traditional discipline boundaries.

In this spirit, we welcome all forms of sound practices, from musical composition and sound installation to scholarly research and software programming.
